The short version
Both let your team meet, chat and keep a calendar, and both have AI built in. The difference is what the AI is trusted with, and whether the meeting belongs to your team or stands on its own.
Zoom is the default way to put a lot of people in one call, and it comes with AI Companion on paid plans. Zoom commits that it doesn't use your meetings, chats or files to train its own or third-party AI models. That protection is a commitment Zoom makes about its own service.
HOLOH Workspaces gives you confidential AI agents. They run in hardware-isolated, attested environments the model provider can't read, and every answer carries proof you can check. The meeting lives inside your team's channels, and it can happen in 3D.
AI at work: trust or verify
| Topic | HOLOH Workspaces | Zoom |
|---|---|---|
| AI inside the chat | Agents you @mention in any channel; they answer in the thread | AI Companion in meetings and Team Chat |
| Personal AI | A personal agent per member that answers only to them | AI Companion for each paid user |
| Shared team AI | Coworker agents, bound to their workspace by the platform | — |
| Where the AI runs | Confidential agents: hardware-isolated, remotely attested environments (AMD SEV-SNP) | Zoom's own and third-party models |
| Can the model provider read your prompts? | No, for confidential agents | Covered by Zoom's data-handling commitments |
| Proof on each answer | Yes, attestation evidence on every confidential reply | No |
| If protection can't be verified | The agent stops; it never falls back to a standard model | — |
| Choice of AI models | Admins choose which models agents may use | Zoom's choice |
In practice: with Zoom, you rely on Zoom's policies about what happens to your data. With HOLOH, you set up confidential agents for sensitive work, and every answer they give is verifiably processed in protected hardware.
What is around the call
In Zoom, the meeting is the object: you schedule it, join it, and it ends. In HOLOH, the room belongs to the channel it sits next to, the meeting is on the same calendar as everything else, and your agents are in the same conversation.
| Topic | HOLOH Workspaces | Zoom |
|---|---|---|
| Where a meeting lives | Inside the team's channel, with its own permanent room | A scheduled meeting with its own link |
| Start a call without scheduling | Yes, from any channel or DM | Yes, instant meetings |
| Chat, calendar and calls | One window | Team Chat and Calendar alongside a meetings-first product |
| AI agents in the same conversation | Yes | — |
How a meeting feels
| Topic | HOLOH Workspaces | Zoom |
|---|---|---|
| Meeting view | Classic grid, or a 3D room with one click | Gallery and speaker view |
| Move around and take a seat | Yes, in the 3D room | No |
| Whiteboard | Shared whiteboard inside the room | Zoom Whiteboard |
| Screen share, recording, live transcript | ✓ | ✓ |
| Guests from the browser | Yes, from the meeting link, with a lobby | Yes, via the browser client |
When Zoom is the right choice
If you run all-hands and webinars, meet mostly with people outside your company, or need telephony and events in the same contract, Zoom is built for that. HOLOH is built for teams whose meetings are internal and recurring, and whose work is too sensitive for AI they can't verify.
